Wonder
Love’s Elation
Amongst the night-time stars
twinkling between Venus and Mars
falls the wonder of love
wrapping itself around us like a glove
hugging us warm and tight
beneath our ancestor’s sight
two hearts in synchronous rotation
creating an elliptical causation
of dreamlike memorabilia
nothing like the madness of Ophelia
Our minds soar like apparitions
bouncing about as radio transmissions
up. down, across, all around
in togetherness we are bound
as static of separate souls
two attracting opposing poles
forever pulled to each other
one another’s perfect lover
through time and space
in eternity we shall embrace
Within the water, upon the earth
in an existence of worth
we flow on the tidal ebbs
interlinked as woven webs
of an ocean’s unseen churning
made stronger by the yearning
to be as one in the swell
that is love’s own quell
crashing finally as a wave
of emotional shockwaves
